Family Album // Italy Day Four
Making more progress documenting our trip to Italy. I think this was my favorite day. Our awesome friends took the initiative and rented boats for a group of us on our only free day. I think I may have mentioned this in previous posts, but this was a work trip for Mike and included quite a few scheduled events. So, we had two fantastic boats (and captains) that took us from beach to beach around Porto Cervo in Sardinia, Italy. The trip included a lunch stop in La Maddalena. This was a fantastic day filled with really amazing people.
For this Project Life/ pocket page spread, I used the Underwater card set from Life Love Paper over at Studio Calico. I've noticed I'm particularly drawn to the products Tina designs. I picked up another stamp and card set this month and can't wait to use them.
I kept the title card for this spread consistent with the other days from our trip to Italy: a date stamp and the "Italy // Day Four." The "views for miles" stamp is from Kerri Bradford. I recently discovered her stamps and really like them. The purple alpha stickers are from a past Studio Calico kit. The three middle photos are one picture trimmed to three 3x4 inserts. I printed these at home on my Epson PM-400, by formatting it in Photoshop as a 9x12 photo and then printing two 4x6 pictures that overlap. The small embellishments on that photo are a trimmed card from the SC set and a chipboard sticker from the Project Life everyday sticker set from Liz Tamanaha.
I journaled on vellum, per the usual. I spelled "this" using the green alpha sticker set from the June Studio Calico documenter kit, and dotted the "i" with a geo tag from Liz's sticker set. The swimming ladies are stamps, also from Life Love Paper. Their suits come as a separate stamp and I decided to gold emboss them to tie in the subtle gold throughout the spread. A little more trouble than I would typically go to for an average weekly spread...but I was willing to go the extra mile to document this trip. Finished this page with a picture of my handsome husband. How lucky am I?
And the right side. The #fromwhereistand sticker is also from Liz's set. I added "La Maddalena" in white alpha stickers from Kelly Purkey to that middle photo (formatted using the PicFrame app). Just so you know, I am not quite that ghostly white. You better believe I filtered that selfie (no makeup, saltwater hair and a few cocktails? yep). Meh. What can you do? The "Let's just chill" card was inspired by a similar card I saw on instagram. I cut out the phrase from a white card and adhered it to this gorgeous purple pattern. The "beach vibes" stamp is from the Life Love Paper stamp set, and "can I have more of this?" is a Kerri Bradford stamp. I'm pretty happy with this one. So close to finishing up this trip.
