Kellie Stamps // Ava's Favorite Books
So, this kid is a bookworm and she kicked off the summer reading her first chapter books! Super proud of her. I wanted to use this pocket page spread to document some of her current story time favorites.
Once the Book Review set from Kellie Stamps (coming to the shop July 23rd), arrived in the mail, I knew exactly what my first project would be. Ava played a big part in this spread, which was really fun. She picked the books (obviously) and then wrote her favorite part or character on the back of each insert. I think this will be the first little sample of her writing in our family album and I'm so glad to have it in there.
These pages were very quick and easy. I recently purchased an Instax printer and wanted to use it for these photos. I ended up doing a little experiment with filters (from the ColorStory app) in order to get the most vibrant photo after my first print was fairly washed out. The cards are from Kelly Purkey (top left from Studio Calico). Kellie's Book Review stamp set includes a really cute "book rating" stamp, but the smiley faces from the I Was Here set (also coming to the Kellie Stamps shop on July 23rd) were Ava's favorite.
