Hi.

I'm Lisa. I'm a wife, mom of two, freelance writer and documenter. This is where I share bits and pieces of my sometimes crazy, mostly happy life.

Feed Your Craft // Week 9

Feed Your Craft // Week 9

And here we are at week nine! I've been trying to do our weeks in order, so I can't exactly remember why I documented week ten before week nine. But I digress....the Feed Your Craft Better Together mini kit launched today! I'm going to go ahead and call it....this one will sell out early.

For this spread, I'm sticking with my 9x12 pocket page album, and mostly 3B page protectors from Studio Calico.  For the title card, I used the mega date stamp (the only stamp NOT from this kit) on two labels (printables included with the kit). I also added a chipboard sticker, "i love right now," from the Dear Lizzy Saturday thickers. I used another one of the printable labels from the kit on the picture of Ava, stamped with "You're weird. I like you." I may be using that stamp every week, from here on. We're weird people. I used the "Oh, I hear you" stamp to journal some very personal thoughts about our current political climate (again, these are personal and never meant to offend). I love that the stamps from each kit stretch beyond a given "theme," and can be used in many contexts. I stamped the "cross my heart" card with the "best friend" stamp. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the heart (which is separate pieces), is stamped twice: once in pale pink and again in the green.

The right side of this spread is pretty straight forward. I added some journaling on vellum to a few of the photos. You probably won't believe this...but that Starbucks photo is the first cup of coffee I've ever had in my life. I've sipped other people's coffee before, but I've always hated it. My Starbucks drink of choice is a Trenta Iced Green Tea, no syrup, one Splenda. What can I say, I live on the edge. This was a coconut milk iced latte (I think). I finished the whole thing. Did I love it? Meh, I liked it. I finished it. So, I loved stamping the card with "we just connect." The "sister from another mister" was perfect for documenting a little Moana storytime with one of Ava's best friends.

There's just something magical about Brandi's combination of colors and sentiments. And, yes, I said magical.
